The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder enjoyed an impressive debut season.

Victor Wanyama’s recent form is causing concern among Tottenham Hotspur supporters.
Signed from Southampton two summers ago, the Kenyan impressed in his first season at Tottenham.
But an injury suffered within a fortnight of the new campaign saw him miss more than four months of action, and he’s started just five league games since then.

And while some were impressed with Wanyama’s showing against Brighton on Tuesday (Football.London awarded him a match rating eight out of 10, while Efan Ekoku – the former Premier League striker turned BBC Sport commentator – described him as ‘outstanding’), many Spurs fans are struggling to agree.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
Tottenham took the lead at the Amex Stadium, courtesy of Harry Kane’s deflected effort shortly after half-time. But Pascal Gross equalised almost immediately for Brighton.
Spurs are now eight points clear of fifth-place Chelsea, who have a game in hand on their rivals from north London.
Does Wanyama require more patience after his injury?
