Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama almost left to join Club Brugge in the summer.

Spurs almost sold Wanyama to Club Brugge, but the deal collapsed at the last minute.
Wanyama decided against moving to the Belgian side in a deal worth £13 million, according to the London Evening Standard, with the Kenyan now staying at Spurs.
The 28-year-old has struggled for game time with Mauricio Pochettino’s side this term.
And Wanyama has suggested that he wanted the transfer away from Tottenham to happen.
“For me, I am a professional player and sometimes you have to wait until everything is done. Things were good but unfortunately the transfer didn’t happen,” he said.
“But I have to put my head down and work hard in training to be back on top form. I will keep working and wait for my chance in the team.”

Wanyama has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs, after a series of injuries.
The powerful midfielder looks a shadow of his former self now, and could well be offloaded by Tottenham in January.
