Tottenham Hotspur midfielder returned to action last night.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama made an impressive return to first team action last night.
His comeback came as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Wanyama was making his first appearance since August and made a vital contribution by clearing a goalmouth scramble in which Swansea almost equalised.

Wanyama is a fan favourite at Tottenham and thanked supporters for their ongoing encouragement.
He had been out with a knee injury which was more complicated than first anticipated, but fortunately avoided surgery.
Wanyama immediately makes Tottenham look stronger, and while the phrase ‘like a new signing’ may induce groans from fans, he certainly gives the squad a lift.
He will go into consideration for a start against West Ham tomorrow, a fixture Spurs will be determined to win after their disappointing loss to their rivals in the League Cup.
