It has been reported that Liverpool and United are interested in signing Wanyama from Premier League rivals in the summer of 2018.
The report has claimed that the Kenya international midfielder wants a new deal with Spurs.
New deal for Victor Wanyama justified?
Wanyama joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £11 million.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder signed a five-year contract with Spurs at the time, as reported by The Guardian, and it would not make much sense for the North London outfit to hand him a new deal.
Although the former Celtic star was a regular for Tottenham last season, he has made only two starts in the Premier League so far this campaign (due to injury), playing a total of 273 minutes of football in the league.
Wanyama, though, is an important player for Spurs, who should not sell the midfielder in the summer of 2018.
