Victor Wanyama joined Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur are going strong in the Premier League at the moment and are among the top contenders for the league title.
The North London outfit are currently second in the league table with 17 points from seven matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
One of Spurs’ best players so far this season has been Victor Wanyama, who joined them from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Mauricio Pochettino’s side had to pay the Saints a transfer fee of £11 million in order to secure the services of the 25-year-old defensive midfielder.
Wanyama has established himself as a key player in the current Tottenham team, and as the Opta Stats table below shows, he has been very influential in matches.
| Competition | Passing Accuracy | Tackles Won | Interceptions Won | Ball Recovery | Touches | Shots on Target | Goal Assist | Goals | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Victor Wanyama | Champions League | 89% | 2 | 1 | 8 | 91 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 90 |
| Victor Wanyama | Premier League | 88% | 17 | 8 | 44 | 425 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 7 | 595 |

Tottenham’s other summer signings are not doing too badly, but none has fared better than Wanyama has so far this campaign.
Netherlands international striker Vincent Janssen is struggling to score goals, while winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, midfielder Moussa Sissoko and goalkeeper Pau Lopez have yet to establish themselves as regulars in the Spurs starting lineup.
