What if Tottenham midfielder gets back to his best?

Victor Wanyama is up against it at Tottenham to show he deserves to stay at the club.
The signing of Tanguy Ndombele puts the Kenyan on notice and sends him down to fourth or fifth in the midfield pecking order when everybody is fit.
Wanyama couldn’t be blamed if he wanted to leave to join a club where he could play more regularly.
At present there is no move in the pipeline and Wanyama seems set to stay.
So what if Wanyama knuckles down and rediscovers his best form?
The former Southampton ace is a favourite of manager Mauricio Pochettino, who brought him to Spurs.
Tottenham already have a stacked midfield without Wanyama; with Ndombele, Sissoko, Alli, Winks, Eriksen, Dier and even Skipp providing options.

Ndombele’s arrival has the potential to work the other way for Wanyama and inspire him to prove a point and get back to his best.
At the top of his game, Wanyama is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. Injuries have stopped him showing this over the past two seasons.
If the tough tackling midfielder can stay injury free and re-discover his form, he could hand Tottenham a very positive selection problem.
It will be a difficult one for Mauricio Pochettino to solve, but it’s a problem he might enjoy trying to solve.
