The Tottenham Hotspur man faced Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers during his time with Celtic.
Speaking to Tottenham Hotspur’s website, former Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has compared the Old Firm derby to the rivalry in North London.
The Kenyan got his first taste of a North London derby on Sunday when Tottenham drew 1-1 with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The 25-year-old is no stranger to hostile fixtures, having faced Rangers on three occasions during his two-year spell with Celtic.

And the former Southampton midfielder has suggested that nothing – including an Arsenal – Spurs battle – really compares to the animosity between Rangers and their bitter Glasgow rivals.
“Celtic-Rangers is a one-off game really but this derby is good as well,” he told Tottenham’s website.
“It’s great to play in. I’m just pleased we showed what we can do and we were really strong as a team.”

There was not a great deal of spice to Sunday’s clash at the Emirates, with Wanyama himself involved in one of the more controversial issues when he elbowed Theo Walcott in the back of the head, though it seemed accidental more than anything else.
One thing that the North London derby has over a Celtic – Rangers clash at the moment is the competitive element.
The Gers have lost twice to the Hoops this season by a 5-1 and 1-0 margin, though the latter offered an inaccurate portrayal of what actually went on at Hampden last month.
There is little to choose between Tottenham and their noisy neighbours, on the other hand, and Sunday’s match – and the three points between them in the table – proves it.
