Leeds signed Pierre-Michel Lasogga on deadline day.

Leeds United made an impressive move on transfer deadline day by signing Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a season long loan.
Lasogga is a former German international although he has struggled for goals the past two season and suffered with injuries.
Leeds have a bit of a reclamation project on their hands, but they are hopeful that the change of scenery can bring a change of fortune for the talented striker.
Sporting director Victor Orta is positive about the 25-year-old, and believes he is a Premier League level player if he can re-discover his form.

Orta told Leeds United’s Facebook page: “Lasogga is a top player. He came back to find his best form.
He is not normal player of this level, he is the level of Premier League.
“I won’t promise a number of goals. If he is involved in hard work, a good passing game, good work, a goal is a consequence.
“If Lasogga is back to his real level he will have a lot of success.”

The move to Leeds is a big chance for Lasogga to reinvigorate his career after falling down the Hamburg pecking order.
The physical style of the Championship could suit his game and if he can stay fit and get an early confidence boosting goal he could be a real success.
On a loan deal he was worth the gamble, and if all goes well, he could fire the goals to send Leeds into the Premier League.
