Speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast, Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth has delivered an exciting piece of transfer news on Leeds United.
The journalist says that Leeds are well on the way to getting some players through the door, claiming that Orta is currently in talks with five different targets.
What’s been said about Leeds’ transfers?
Smyth has shared what Orta is currently up to behind the scenes at Elland Road.
“As it stands, Victor Orta is in talks with five targets, not all left-backs, they’re hoping to bring in three, maybe four, but probably three first-team signings, and then of course they’ll bring in two, three or four U23 signings as well to bolster Mark Jackson’s squad, but of the players he’s talking to, he spoke to a left-back at the weekend who impressed, we’re led to believe, with his attitude and he seems to have the right stuff to play for Marcelo Bielsa, and he’s moved into a good position in the pecking order in terms of targets in that position,” Smyth said.

Exciting transfer news
Leeds United don’t seem to be messing about when it comes to preparing for the summer window.
The Whites look to be prepared to get their business done early, and while most players are either preparing for the Euros or heading off on holiday, Orta is putting feelers out and getting in touch with targets.
Sadly, we don’t have any idea about who these players are, but the fact that Orta has already started talks with five different players is incredibly exciting.
Fingers crossed we get some more news in the coming days and these talks can advance quickly.
