Leeds United have signed Samuel Saiz from Huesca in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United Director of Football Victor Orta has explained to the club’s official website how the fans played a role in the signing of Samuel Saiz.
As announced on Leeds’s official website, the Championship club have signed Saiz from Spanish Segunda Division outfit SD Huesca on a four-year contract.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites have had to pay Huesca a transfer fee of £3 million in order to secure the services of the 26-year-old.

Leeds Director of Football Orta has explained how the club’s fans played a key role in the signing of Saiz, who can play as a forward or as an attacking midfielder.
“We are delighted with the signing of Samuel, he is a player we feel can improve the squad and excite the fans, who have made a huge impression on the player already,” Orta told Leeds’s official website.
“When the speculation regarding a potential transfer to Leeds hit social media last month, Samu received hundreds of messages from Leeds United supporters encouraging him to join the club which was one of the reasons he turned down other clubs to come to us this summer.”
Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and Elland Road is one of the best grounds to play football at.
Orta’s comments give an insight into just how big a role the Elland Road faithful will play for the team in the upcoming 2017-18 campaign.
Having narrowly failed to finish in the top six of the Championship last season, the Whites will be determined to clinch a playoff spot in 2017-18.
