Chelsea’s Victor Moses in action with Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele
Victor Moses has suggested that he had a great time on loan at West Ham last season and added that he is looking forward to playing at the London Stadium with Chelsea, but insisted that he is solely focused on helping the Blues to three points on Monday, the Daily Mirror reports.
Having previously struggled to earn his chance in the Chelsea first-team, Moses headed out on loan on a number of occasions before this season with the Hammers being the most recent club he joined on a temporary basis.
And it was arguably there that he showed glimpses of the form that prompted the Stamford Bridge outfit to sign him in the first place. And ahead of next week’s game between the Irons and his current side, Moses seemed to express his gratitude for the time with Slaven Bilic’s men.
“I had a great time there last season, it’s a nice memory. But now I’m a Chelsea player and I’m enjoying my football,” he said, as reported by the Mirror.
“I can’t wait to go to the London Stadium and, hopefully, we’ll get three points.”
Having become a key component in Antonio Conte’s system, Moses will be hoping that he can send a message to the West Ham hierarchy.
Shortly before his return to the Blues, Sky Sports reported that the Irons turned down the chance to sign the former Wigan man on a permanent basis.
And while he has by no means been the most important member of Conte’s squad, he will be hoping to put in a performance on Monday befitting of the Premier League medal he looks destined to receive at the end of the season.
