Wolverhampton Wanderers reached Europe this season and there is no doubt that West Ham United will want to follow suit and do the same next season.

What happens and does not happen during the summer transfer window, it will more than likely have big bearings on how these teams perform and whether or not they can take the next step.

The Daily Mail have claimed that both West Ham and Wolves are battling it out to sign Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa, who thrived during his loan spell at Cardiff City this season.

It is said that the 24-year-old’s parent club are pondering whether to sell him this summer, whether it be on loan or on a permanent basis as there are clubs interested in his signature.

The stylish attack-minded midfielder was a standout performer for a Cardiff team that suffered relegation this term by scoring five goals [transfermarkt] for a defensive-minded team.

Whether it be on loan or a permanent deal, it wouldn’t be surprising if Camarasa was available on the market for a very respectable price.

But whether it be Wolves or West Ham, either one of them would be very smart in adding him to their squad because you have more to gain than to lose.

Camarasa is very comfortable on the ball, with the former Spain Under-21 player capable of going both ways, moving the ball at speed and getting the ball further up the pitch. Added with that, he can chip in with a few goals.

Just like the Bluebirds, whoever Camarasa signs for next season, he will be a great asset and given his relatively young age, he still has the ability to go to that next level.
