Sunderland failed to win against Liverpool at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Monday.

Sunderland duo Victor Anichebe and Vito Mannone have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reactions to Sunderland’s performance against Liverpool at home on Monday afternoon.

The Black Cats played out a 2-2 draw with Liverpool at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League, thanks to Jermain Defoe’s two penalties.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light on Monday afternoon, hosts Sunderland had just 29% of the possession, took 10 shots of which five were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Liverpool had 71% of the possession, took 21 shots of which 15 were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Sunderland are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 20 matches.

The Black Cats will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Burnley at the Stadium of Light in the third round of the FA Cup.
