Arsenal supporters are taking to Twiitter to react after seeing footage of Ben White.

White was on the losing side on Saturday as Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat by Manchester City.

Despite them being the Premier League champions, the Gunners actually outplayed Pep Guardiola’s side for large spells.

But Gabriel Magalhaes was sent off for two bookings, after the referee Stuart Atwell – and VAR – dismissed the hosts’ strong penalty claims in the first half.

Atwell consulted a pitchside monitor to award City a penalty – which Riyad Mahrez scored – but didn’t do the same when Odegaard went down under a challenge from Ederson.

With Rodri netting a stoppage-time winner, it was a heartbreaking afternoon for Arsenal.

Footage of White is doing the rounds on Twitter because although the defender shook the officials’ hands, he slapped a linesman’s hand away in frustration shortly after.

Here’s how some Gooners reacted:

Mixed

It’s a bit of a mixed reception from the Arsenal fans.

But honestly, White didn’t do much wrong.

There still remains a sense of lingering injustice over a number of incidents.

And although White let his frustration out, it’s a nothing incident all the same.

Arsenal are back in action on Thursday for a League Cup visit of Liverpool.

And truhfully, if the North Londoners replicate their performance against the Sky Blues, Jurgen Klopp – who misses the game through COVID – will be worried.
