Alisson has won Liverpool’s Player of the Month award for October.

The Reds announced on Friday that the £66 million signing from 2018 [BBC Sport] had scooped the prize.

Here’s how Jose Enrique reacted to the news on Twitter yesterday:

Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott finished in second and third place respectively but honestly, Alisson being voted the best player of last month sums up Liverpool’s woes.

Historically, it’s often an attacking player who would win this award, such is the potency and devastation of Jurgen Klopp’s side going forward.

However, the Anfield outfit have lost their last two Premier League outings and are sitting eight points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United, ninth in the Premier League standings.

The Merseysiders are away to Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow and losing three in succession isn’t that unlikely.

It’s massively important Klopp figures out a way how to arrest this massive slump at Liverpool.

Fortunately, the German manager already has the players – and the goalkeeper – to turn things around, meaning that reversing their fortunes is a lot less difficult than it’d be without a squad of A-listers.
