Troy Deeney told talkSPORT (23/11/20 at 6:55 am) that Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is a player who ‘doesn’t get spoken about’ despite his talents.

The Watford striker pointed out that Leeds have some ‘really, really talented’ players on their books, as he name-checked the likes of Harrison, Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford as some of those players.

Harrison has been a regular starter on the left-hand side for Leeds this season and he was involved in his side’s goalless draw against Arsenal on Sunday.

Deeney spoke in glowing terms about the Stoke-born attacker and how he isn’t seemingly being recognised enough.

“The way they promote from within is quality as well,” said Deeney. “I think the boy Harrison is very, very good. He doesn’t get spoken about a lot.

“Of course, Phillips is the captain, and again, Bamford is going to get a lot of the credit as strikers do. But I just think a lot of these boys are really, really talented.”

Harrison, 24, is in his third loan spell at Elland Road and in every one of those campaigns there has been a stark improvement from the popular Leeds player.

When he first arrived, Harrison didn’t have that bite or consistency in his game, but that quickly changed once he worked under Marcelo Bielsa.

Now, he has that aggression, ability to beat a man on a regular basis, intelligence to time his runs perfectly when the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ is pinging one of his balls over the top, and most importantly, he is now firing crosses into the box with precision and on a consistent basis.
