BBC Sport pundit Sebastien Bassong has raved about Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender has said on BBC Radio 5 Live that Destiny Udogie is “a very, very good signing” for Spurs.
Bassong has noted that the 20-year-old Italy Under-21 international left-back provides a lot of energy and is very good in the build-up to attacks.
Tottenham signed Udogie from Italian club Udinese in the summer of 2022.
According to Sky Sports, Spurs paid an initial transfer fee of £15 million for the left-back.
Udogie spent last season on loan at Udinese from Spurs.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie
The youngster is now part of the Tottenham first-team squad.
Udogie started at left-back for Tottenham against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Bassong said: “Destiny Udogie is a very, very good signing for Tottenham.
“He provides a lot of energy, good technical ability in the build up going forward and is good defensively too.
“If they can manage him throughout the season, which will be long and demanding, he can really bring the balance for the side, offer that attacking option they need on the wide left-hand side.”

Udogie has started the season strongly and has established himself as an important player in the Tottenham first team already.
The left-back is good going forward and is defensively sound.
And he is just 20.
Udogie has a lot of potential, and we believe that he could improve and develop in the coming years.
Against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, Udogie played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 89.2%, won one header, took 58 touches, attempted one dribble, and made three clearances.
