A reported Tottenham Hotspur target has a big fan in the form of Cesc Fabregas.
The legendary Premier League playmaker held a Q & A session with his followers on Twitter this afternoon.
And in it, Fabregas claimed that Aurelien Tchouameni – whom he plays with at Monaco – can develop into a ‘very, very good’ player amid speculation of Tottenham wanting him.
The 21-year-old midfielder has reportedly played his way on to Spurs’ radar, with Calciomercato reporting earlier this month that the North Londoners have joined the race to get him in January.
Here is what Fabregas wrote about his teammate:
Hatred
It’s probably fair to say that the former Spain international would hate to see Tchouameni wind up on the white half of the North London divide.
And that’s because for eight years, Fabregas was on the red half and ultimately became Arsenal captain.
He has never been shy about expressing his hatred for Spurs and although he’d never personally tell his Monaco pal about who to who not to join, surely he’ll be secretly hoping that a move to the Lilywhites never materialises.
But being a central midfielder, this is someone who Tottenham could do with signing.
Dele Alli is having a rotten season, Giovani Lo Celso is inconsistent as anything and Tanguy Ndombele seems to impress in short bursts.
Tchouameni is a realistic target in terms of logistics and no doubt Fabregas will hope his prediction about him comes true at a different club.
