West Brom fans are pretty happy at the rumours that they are closing in on signing West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass.

As reported by the Express & Star, Snodgrass is set to be Sam Allardyce’s first January signing, with a permanent switch from West Ham edging ever closer.

Whilst the 33-year-old’s age would be off-putting for some, it’s not bothering the West Brom fans because they are well aware that they have a top-quality player on their hands.

They are pleased that, in their relegation dogfight, they are able to bring in such experience and quality.

Snodgrass is a shrewd move by those at the Hawthorns because he suits Allardyce’s style down to a tee.

His hardworking style, ability to deliver high-quality crosses and be dangerous from set-piece situations makes him a player seemingly nurtured from the Allardyce school of football if he ever had one.

It is perhaps a surprise that Allardyce has never worked with Snodgrass before given that they suit one another, but they have that chance now.

Albion fans will be hoping he can make an instant impact because they need to put points on the board to get out of their current mess.

Nontheless, West Brom fans on Twitter reacted to those Snodgrass rumours:
