Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has delivered a heartfelt message to fans of Galatasaray as he departs the Turkish giants.

Since Tanguy Ndombele completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur from French side Lyon in 2019, the French midfielder has struggled to replicate the skills and quality he showed in Ligue 1.

There was reported interest from Barcelona in Ndombele but the French midfielder chose to move to North London to play under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the Argentine was sacked and was then replaced by Jose Mourinho and this was seemingly the beginning of the end of his time in the Premier League.

Ndombele pens emotional farewell message to Galatasaray

Mourinho and Ndombele never really clicked and the Frenchman has spent time out on loan back at Lyon, as well as Napoli and Galatasaray.

He featured in 19 Super Lig games for the Turkish giants last season and has penned an emotional message to fans of Galatasaray.

Writing on his Instagram page, the French midfielder said: “Thank you to the managers, staff, teammates for this adventure which led us to the title of champion.

“Thank you to the supporters for your unfailing support, which has a place in my heart forever. I will miss you very much here. Good luck on your new adventures.

“Galatasaray is the biggest club in Türkiye. See you soon!”

Ndombele’s future is unclear but Ineos move is possible

Despite having a year left on his deal, Spurs and Ndombele decided the time was right to part ways which is a sad nadir for a midfielder who cost the Lilywhites £63 million five years ago.

Current Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou hailed the midfielder as a ‘very talented footballer’ but he will be embarking on a new adventure this summer.

French outlet Foot Mercato has claimed that Ndombele is set to sign a two-year contract at Ineos led OGC Nice and that may well be a smart move for the 27-year-old to try and kick start his career.
