Reported Everton target Kalidou Koulibaly is the toughest centre-back in the whole of Serie A, Juventus star Paulo Dybala told Twitch.
Of course, it helps that some of Italy’s finest defenders play with Dybala rather than against him.
We would hazard a guess that, sometimes, training sessions are tougher than matchdays for the Argentine international, with Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral all fighting for a place in Andrea Pirlo’s backline.
But who, outside of the Allianz Stadium, is the most fearsome centre-half in Serie A? For Dybala, the answer is an obvious one.
“In Italy, Koulibaly from Napoli has always put me in difficulty, he’s very strong and has been proving it for many years,” Dybala said, translated by Juventus News 24.
“But I really like to face Sergio Ramos, he is incredible. In training, Chiellini: you are always afraid that he will hit you in training and then he is very strong.”

You’d think that Dybala, then, would not be too unhappy to see Koulibaly bring an end to his seven-year spell at the Stadio San Paolo this summer.
The Senegal international has just two years left on his contract and, with Napoli hit hard by the COVID crisis, Koulibaly’s price-tag has dropped by around 50 per cent in the space of 12 months.
Carlo Ancelotti is keen to reunite with a defender he once described as the best in the world.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Everton could sell Yerry Mina to make room for the now-£45 million-rated Koulibaly.
