Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has raved about Richarlison on the club’s YouTube channel following his move from Frank Lampard’s Everton in the summer transfer window.

Conte is really pleased that Tottenham were able to secure the services of Brazil international forward Richarlison from Premier League rivals Everton this summer.

Spurs reportedly paid the Toffees an initial transfer fee of £50 million for the 25-yea-old.

Conte said about Richarlison on Tottenham’s YouTube channel, as transcribed by journalist Dan Kilpatrick: “It’s not easy to play against him because during the game he’s always very strong.

“We need this type of player with great character. Strong physically but at the same time with good quality.”

Good signing for Spurs

In our view, Richarlison is a very good signing for Tottenham Hotspur and will make the North London club better and more potent in attack.

The 25-year-old can play through the middle in attack or as a wide forward.

Now, Richarlison is not exactly an out-and-out striker, but his versatility means that he will offer something extra to this Tottenham team.

The former Watford star has scored 48 goals and created 32 big chances in 173 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Brazilian forward made 28 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Everton last season.

Richarlison scored 10 goals and gave five assists in those matches.

Tottenham will play in the UEFA Champions League next season and will aim to finish in the Premier League top four as well.

The Brazilian star will play a big role for Spurs next season and beyond.
