According to The Sun, Queens Park Rangers star Eberechi Eze is too expensive for Leeds United, with Fulham set to make a bid for him.

The Sun has claimed that Leeds and West Ham United like Eze, but the attacking midfielder is too costly for them.

The report in the British tabloid has also claimed that Fulham are set to make a bid of £15 million for the 22-year-old.

Rangers will sell the youngster at the right price, according to the report, with West London Sport reporting in July that QPR value him at £20 million.

Should Leeds United make a bid?

Eze – described by QPR manager Mark Warburton as “a very special player” in West London Sport in July 2020 – is one of the best attacking players in the Championship, and scored 14 goals and provided six assists in the league last season, while in 2018-19, he scored four goals and provided three assists in the league, according to WhoScored.

While £20 million does sound a bit too much for a 22-year-old who has been playing regular first-team football for only the past two seasons, the fact of the matter is that Leeds need a player like him.

Pablo Hernandez is not getting any younger, and Eze’s dynamism, goalscoring prowess and ability to create chances would make Leeds a better and more potent team in attack.
