According to Foot Mercato, Everton have made contact with Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby’s representatives.
The man who cost the Bundesliga outfit €15 million (£12.9 million) has been scouted by the Toffees, and they love what they’ve seen.
That comes as no surprise. Diaby has scored ten goals while also providing 15 assists in all competitions this term – outstanding numbers, to say the least.
It’s no wonder that Thomas Tuchel loved him while they were at Paris Saint-Germain together.
After watching him shine in a few pre-season games for PSG, the German said: “Moussa is very quick, able to learn and assert himself.”
Admittedly, it was the Chelsea tactician who sold the 21-year-old, but it seems he did so with the winger’s best interests at heart.

The Bundesliga’s official website quotes Diaby as saying: “He encouraged me to move to the Bundesliga and join Leverkusen, he said it would be a great decision and that I’d learn a lot there.”
It seems like Tuchel’s advice has paid off.
Diaby is now one of the most exciting forwards in the Bundesliga.

At 21, he also has so much time on his side to get even better.
Bayer Leverkusen’s official website even described him as being ‘like lightning with a run-up’ – safe to say he’s quite quick then!
Everton desperately need a natural right-forward to compliment Richarlison cutting in from the left and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the middle.
In Diaby, Marcel Brands might’ve found the perfect man for Carlo Ancelotti.
