David Ornstein has said on Sky Sports News (8:33am, May 13, 2022) that it is “very possible” that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be able to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

The Athletic journalist has said that Manchester City striker Jesus at the top of Arsenal’s summer transfer list right now.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has added that it is very much possible that Arsenal will be able to secure the services of the £91,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker.

David Ornstein on Arsenal target Gabriel Jesus

Ornstein said on Sky Sports News (8:33am, May 13, 2022): “Arsenal have pretty much got him at the top of their list right now for the striking position.”

The journalist added: “We don’t know if City will let him go, but with one year to go and no obvious sign of contracts talks, it seems that a deal is very possible. There will be other suitors for him as well.”

Transfer happening?

Here on HITC Sport, we have already reports claiming that Arsenal are in advanced talks over signing Jesus from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

City have signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, so it is going to be hard for Jesus to get into the starting lineup next season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta needs to sign at least two new strikers in the summer transfer window.

Jesus is able to play out wide, so that versatility would be very appealing for a fluid team such as Arsenal.

Arsenal are a big club and a global brand, and, in our view, if the Gunners finish in the Premier League top four next season, then the North London club would be very appealing to Jesus.
