Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after they spotted Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak reuniting at Carrow Road last night.

What’s the story?

Well, the Reds romped to a simple 3-0 win in Norfolk yesterday, with Jürgen Klopp handing debuts to Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley.

Unfortunately, Phillips wasn’t given a start as Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate were preferred.

However, Liverpool fans noticed the 24-year-old speaking to Kabak on the touchline during the 3-0 win, as the pair warmed up.

It was a nice moment, given what the pair went through together last term.

Against all odds, a 21-year-old from Schalke 04 and a Liverpool outcast found themselves starting in the Champions League knockout phases.

The duo played a massive role in helping Liverpool finish third, and they should quite rightly be remembered as cult heroes.

Nat Phillips deserved to start for Liverpool

In our view, it was quite harsh of Klopp to leave Phillips on the bench last night.

After Konate’s arrival, these are probably the only games Phillips would’ve hoped to start, although he found himself benched yet again.

The Bolton-born Baresi (as he was nicknamed last term) hasn’t actually played a single second of football this season, which is quite sad.

He even signed a new long-term contract on deadline day.

So, if Klopp won’t start him in a Carabao Cup clash against Norwich, when will he?

In our view, he at least deserved to start last night given his heroic efforts last season – after all, Konate had started against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the photo of Phillips and Kabak…
