Garth Crooks has raved about Liverpool central midfielder Naby Keita on BBC Sport.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward was impressed with the performance of Keita during Liverpool’s 5-3 win against Chelsea at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Crooks believes that the 25-year-old central midfielder has been outstanding for the Reds since football resumed after lockdown.
Crooks wrote on BBC Sport: “Since the restart Keita has been quite outstanding for Liverpool.
“His goal against Chelsea was wonderful but his all-round contribution for the Reds has been a real plus for Jurgen Klopp in light of Adam Lallana’s pending departure and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still looking to regain his best form.
“The Guinea international is another one of these players who really enjoys doing all the hard work with very little reward. I suppose the Premier League title might make up for it.”
Stats
According to WhoScored, Keita has made eight starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process.

Important player for Liverpool
Keita has not really made a huge impact at Liverpool, who won the Champions League last season and the Premier League this campaign.
However, the central midfielder is a very good player who remains an important part of Klopp’s squad.
Liverpool will be aiming to win the Premier League title next season as well.
