Paul Merson has written in The Daily Star that Liverpool midfielder Thiago is “very inconsistent”.
The former Arsenal star made the comments about Liverpool star Thiago while discussing the midfield options that manager Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal at the moment.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that Liverpool should sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window, such as Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund.

The main problem with the Spain international midfielder during his time at Liverpool is that he has had injury problems.
As reported by Goal, Liverpool paid Bayern Munich £20 million in the summer of 2020 to sign Thiago.
The 31-year-old has made only 49 appearances in the Premier League in two seasons.
Thiago has scored two goals and created six big chances in those matches.
The former Barcelona midfielder’s passing range is brilliant, and the way he pulls the strings from midfield is hugely admirable.
Liverpool will be aiming to win the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup next season.
For the Merseyside club to be successful in that quest, Thiago will have to play a massive role.
