Jermaine Jenas has praised reported Aston Villa target and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse on Twitter.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was impressed by the performance of Ward-Prowse for England against Romania this evening.
The Three Lions won the friendly international match 1-0.
Ward-Prowse played in the game, and the Southampton star’s performance impressed Jenas, a former England international midfielder who had a loan spell at Villa in 2011.
The Guardian reported today that Villa are planning to make a bid for Southampton midfielder Ward-Prowse.
Ward-Prowse is not in the 26-man England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
However, that did not stop the Southampton star from having a very good game.
Villa fans, like Jenas, are likely to have been impressed by the 26-year-old.

Ward-Prowse was tidy on the ball, worked hard in the middle of the park, and put in some wonderful deliveries.
The England international has been on the books of Southampton his entire professional club football career so far.
The 26-year-old knows the Premier League inside out, and he would make Villa a better and more solid team.
