But that’s music to the ears of the Hammers, who are sitting in fifth place and they are two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
Arsenal and Tottenham are on their tails, and they do have games in hand, in the case of the Gunners, they have three games on the Hammers, as well as being level on points.
It’s pretty obvious that the ball is in other teams’ court, but, at the end of the day, West Ham are heading into these crunch months and weeks still in the race to finish fourth.
