According to David Ornstein, speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Arsenal’s recent acquisition of Jorginho has generated excitement and optimism among both the players and staff at the club.

Ornstein is led to believe that Jorginho’s technical and tactical ability have made staff and players at the Emirates excited by the idea of working with him.

Jorginho is certainly a talented player, and Ornstein added that he should be able to hit the ground running at Arsenal, given that he will remain in London and will not need to acclimatize to a new environment.

Jorginho has already demonstrated his abilities in the Premier League, having spent a long time at Chelsea, and now, he can bring that quality to Arsenal.

Arsenal excited by Jorginho

“As I understand it, a lot of the players, the staff at Arsenal are very happy to acquire a player of such tactical intelligence and understanding for Arteta’s system, technical quality and experience as they look to push on for the Premier League title. For him, he stays in London, doesn’t need time to acclimatise and adapt, he gets a good move, so it feels like a win-win that one,” Ornstein said.

Next level

Jorginho’s presence in Arsenal training may just take the squad to the next level.

Say what you will about his physical abilities, Jorginho is second-to-none technically, and one has to imagine that he also has plenty to teach young, raw talents such as Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe.

In addition to his technical ability, Jorginho’s experience will also be invaluable to Arsenal. With almost 400 appearances in the top flight of Italian and English football, Jorginho has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge that he can bring to the team. This experience will be particularly important as Arsenal look to compete in both the Premier League and the Europa League this season.

This could well be a very important signing for the Gunners.
