Some Everton fans are reacting on Twitter to a rumour that West Ham United are set to sign one of their former players.

Nikola Vlasic has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham in recent days.

And according to The Guardian, the Croatia international, who spent two years on Everton’s books until 2019, is very close to sealing a £25 million switch to East London.

Despite only managing 12 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, the 23-year-old, who originally joined the Goodison Park club as a teenager, had shown glimpses of his potential for the Merseyside outfit.

And here’s what some Everton supporters are saying in response to his imminent Hammers move.

Strength to strength

Vlasic, who has 26 caps for his country, has steadily improved in a big way since leaving Goodson.

In the 2019-20 campaign, the CSKA Moscow attacker netted 13 goals and set up another seven in all competitions.

Last term, he registered 12 goals and six assists.

And clearly he fancies another crack at conquering the Premier League and if and when this return to England does materialise, he’ll be far better equipped.

He was signed by former Everton director of football Steve Walsh, who oversaw quite a lot of awful deals at the Toffees it has to be said.

With Vlasic, it looks like a case of being the right player at the wrong time.
