Roy Keane has told ITV that he is a big fan of reported Tottenham Hotspur target Nick Pope.
The Telegraph have suggested that Tottenham’s most likely goalkeeper signing this summer in Burnley’s Pope.
The 28-year-old stopped is apparently being lined up as a potential Hugo Lloris replacement by Jose Mourinho’s side.
Pope actually played in goal for England yesterday, with the Burnley custodian now putting real pressure on Jordan Pickford to take the number one shirt for his country.
And Keane feels that Pope actually compares favourably to current Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart.
“Sometimes it’s forced on you, because of Pickford’s injury,” he said. “The big plus for Pope is I think he’s a very good goalkeeper and he has a very good temperament about him.

“I look at Pickford sometimes, his head looks all over the place, I go back to Joe Hart when he was in goal and he seemed to be too lively and giddy in the tunnel.
“But I look at Pope and think nice temperament about him and if he does get a chance to play regular games for England he won’t let them down.”
If Pope was to sign Spurs he would be making a step up, but there is little doubt over his shot-stopping ability.
Pope has proven a very tough goalkeeper the pass during his time at Burnley.
The only real concern around Pope is with his kicking game.
With Spurs having the lion’s share of possession in many games, Pope will be required to use his feet more – like he is with England.
At the moment that is a weakness in his game, but Spurs may well overlook that, due to the many qualities that the rangy goalkeeper possesses.
