Graham Potter has praised Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard for his performance against his Brighton & Hove Albion side yesterday on Sky Sports.
Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners on the final day of the Premier League season, with Nicolas Pepe scoring both goals.
The Ivorian winger naturally took the headlines and much of the acclaim for his contribution after the game.
But it was Arsenal’s playmaker who really caught the eye of Potter during the contest.
“Arsenal’s attacking players, I thought Odegaard in particular was very good in the game and influential,” Potter said. “They have some high quality at the top end of the pitch.
“We have to play really well if we are going to come to these places and win and we didn’t play well enough.”
It is not yet known whether yesterday’s display is going to be Odegaard’s final showing in an Arsenal shirt.

Mikel Arteta seemed to hint that Arsenal would attempting to make Odegaard’s loan a permanent move this summer.
However, the Gunners boss did admit that the power was not in Arsenal’s hands.
Odegaard has delivered a high level of performance throughout his time at the Emirates Stadium and there is little doubting that he would be an attractive addition to their side on a long term basis.
At the age of 22, Odegaard has plenty of room to develop and he has added further creative into Arsenal’s line-up since arriving.
