Speaking on his podcast, Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva has been waxing-lyrical about Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
The Brazilian of course knows what it takes to be a success at Arsenal having been a part of the legendary invincibles squad.
Silva hasn’t been impressed by what he’s seen from Arsenal as of late, but he believes that they have a saving grace in the shape of the young players breaking through, particularly Smith Rowe.
“It’s important that there are some younger players coming through. Smith Rowe is back in the team and scoring goals. I believe he is a very good player, young and talented, I believe that it is important for him to be on the field and scoring goals.”

We can’t argue with Silva’s point about Smith Rowe.
The attacking midfielder has been an absolute revelation since breaking into Mikel Arteta’s first-team and he showed that again earlier this week at Stamford Bridge.
Realistically, the 20-year-old could have more than a decade of progression ahead of him, and it’s exciting to think about just how good he could be if he continues to develop.
Fingers crossed the youngster can continue starring for Arsenal in the coming years.
