Some West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

The London Evening Standard has reported that West Ham are interested in signing Nketiah from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Hammers are looking at the 21-year-old striker as a possible replacement for Sebastien Haller, who has joined Ajax.

However, well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, who works for The Guardian and SkySport, has claimed on Twitter that Arsenal do not plan to sell Nketiah to West Ham.

The former Leeds United loanee is not guaranteed a place in the Arsenal starting lineup, and with no Haller at West Ham, he would get more chances at the London Stadium than at the Gunners.

However, Nketiah is only 21 years of age and does not have the experience or is proven enough to lead the Hammers’ attack.

According to WhoScored, the England Under-21 international has made three starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League and has scored three goals in six Europa League games for the Gunners so far this season.

Some West Ham fans have given their take on speculation that the Hammers are interested in Nketiah.
