Rangers are closing in on a move to bring Ovie Ejaria to Ibrox.

Rangers are moving closer to signing midfield talent Ovie Ejaria, SkySports report.
He is a player personally head hunted by new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, who has seen him first hand at Liverpool.
Ejaria has a lot to prove in his second ever loan spell and will be keen to repay the faith Gerrard is showing in him to bring him to Ibrox.
Gerrard is not the only familiar face Ejaria will encounter at Ibrox.

The Daily Record reported that Michael Beale has moved to Rangers as part of Gerrard’s back room staff, and during his spell coaching the academy, he worked with Ejaria first hand.
Quotes from Beale two years ago about Ejaria shows how highly he regards him.
He told SkySports: “I’m very excited about Ovie Ejaria. I knew him from my time in London. He went to West Ham and ended up at Arsenal.
“He’s done very well with us and has trained in and around the first team, but he’s managed to settle well here in the North. He’s a little tall and gangly and we’re still waiting for him to develop more physically, but he is a lovely player and has fantastic technical ability.”

Reading his comments, it’s little wonder that Beale and Gerrard are looking forward to working with and helping him develop, for the benefit of Rangers in the here and now too.
They are clearly quite confident Ejaria is good enoguh to contribute, and wouldn’t be signing him otherwise, and the midfielder must seize the fantastic opportunity which is now coming his way.
