Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of William Saliba for the Under-23 side against their Brighton and Hove Albion counterparts on Friday evening.

Saliba started for the Arsenal Under-23 side against their Brighton counterparts at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.

The 19-year-old defender was very impressive at the back, as he looked calm and composed on the ball and built up play from deep.

The defender also played a key role in the goal that James Olayinka scored, as the France Under-20 international marched forward from defence and played a brilliant pass into the attack.

Saliba joined Arsenal from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2019, and he stayed at the French club on loan for the 2019-20 campaign.

The youngster is now in the Gunners’ fold, and it seems that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta wants to get him used to the rigours of English football by playing him for the Under-23s.

Some Arsenal fans were impressed with the display produced by Saliba, and has raved about him on Twitter.
