Kieran Tierney has stated that he has become ‘very close’ to Jack Wilshere at Arsenal, as he told the club’s official TikTok account.

The left-back labelled Wilshere as a ‘great guy’ as the 30-year-old continues to train with the Gunners.

Wilshere is currently without a club, so he has been training with Arsenal for the past few months, as well as doing some coaching with the youngsters.

Whilst some would have wished for a fairytale return for Wilshere in north London, that’s not going to be the case for the midfielder.

But whilst he is still at the club, it seems as though he has made some close friends, as Tierney shared, along with Rob Holding, that Wilshere is one of his best mates in camp.

“Also Jack Wilshere is training with us,” said Tierney. “I have been very close to him. He is a great guy and a great player.”

Wilshere may not be good enough to don the Arsenal colours, but he certainly can teach those around the club a thing or two.

Not many people in the first-team, other than the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, understand the club as Wilshere does.

It is a crying shame how his career has panned out, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he becomes a full-time coach at the club one day.

There is certainly a pathway for him to do so, but until then, it will be interesting to see where he ends up because he still is a free agent.
