Micah Richards has given his verdict on Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard after watching him in action against Burnley this past weekend.

The former Manchester City star and Sky Sports pundit has noted how Trossard is helping Arsenal and is not getting enough credit.

So, what has Micah Richards said about Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard? Let’s take a look.

Micah Richards praises Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard

Well, Arsenal hammered Burnley 5-0 away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League this past weekend.

Leandro Trossard started the match. The Belgium international is a winger by trade, but Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta deployed the £20 million (Sky Sports) player down the middle in a three-man forward line.

He scored in the 66th minute. Tim Sherwood was impressed. Trossard was deployed in the same false nine role against West Ham United, and he scored.

Former Manchester City star Micah Richards has been hugely impressed by the 29-year-old, who has scored seven goals and given one assist in nine starts in the Premier League this season.

Richards said about Trossard on The Rest is Football podcast: “You know, who has been key for them, though, with important goals, Trossard.

“He probably doesn’t get into anyone’s starting XI when everyone’s fit, Jesus is fit and Martinelli is playing well, Saka playing the way he is playing now, but he just brings something different to that team with his runs in behind, coming to the ball to link up and then in front of goal, he is very clinical, isn’t he?

“I mean, when he was at Brighton, we all knew that he was a good player, but he has really come to Arsenal and fit in straightaway. I think to have that from the bench has been outstanding for them. And, when he starts as well, he scores. Brilliant.”

My View: Leandro Trossard an important player for Arsenal

In my opinion, Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard will play his role for the team in the coming weeks and months.

Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season and will perhaps even try to clinch the UEFA Champions League.

I think that Trossard will play a big role in that quest. The winger is a very good option to have for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

What is remarkable about the former Brighton and Hove Albion winger is that he can make an impact coming off the bench or when he starts.

Not many players can get into games as quickly as Trossard can after he comes on. That is an asset.
