Mark Lawrenson has claimed that Antonio Conte ‘can’t talk enough’ of Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, as he told Off the Ball.

The Anfield legend added that Conte is being ‘very, very clever’ with Tottenham’s main man up top.

At the start of the season, Kane was in troubled waters, with a well-documented move to Manchester City not coming off and it clearly affected his early-season form.

But ever since Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in the dugout, things have started to change for the better for Kane.

That’s been proven by his performances, especially since the turn of the year, as Lawrenson shares what Conte continues to do when talking to the media.

“The way he has been with Harry Kane has been very, very clever,” said Lawrenson.

“Every time he talks about him, he can’t talk enough about him. This fella is brilliant. He’s such a fantastic player. He is this and that. And all those kinds of things.”

At the rate Tottenham are going, they should secure Champions League football at the end of the season.

It’s pretty remarkable that Spurs have found the back of the net on nine occasions from their last two matches, yet Kane hasn’t got on the scoresheet.

It just goes to show the quality they have in the forward areas and the magic touch Conte has provided to the rest of the team.

Now it’s a case of, both Conte and Kane, still being in north London next season, because if they are, then Spurs might just prove to be very, very dangerous indeed.
