Jose Enrique has praised Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United on his Instagram story for their summer signings of Yankuba Minteh, Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento.

The former Newcastle United defender highlighted the deal for Harvey Barnes and how it’s a ‘very clever’ capture from Eddie Howe.

Their latest arrival is Tino Livramento from Southampton, with Romeo Lavia sharing his thoughts, including perhaps the biggest name, Sandro Tonali

Then there is Yankuba Minteh, a highly-rated teenage star, who has since been loaned to Feyenoord.

Could there be more to come? Well, given that the Magpies are in the Champions League and the fixtures are going to pile up, then you can’t rule it out.

Enrique certainly wants more new faces added, as he shared, along with what has already come in, what more he wants, as he posted on his Instagram story

“They have been really smart,” said Enrique about the four signings this window. “I love Barnes, by the way. Very clever signing.

“Now they need to sign a top left back as well, right winger, who is left-footed to play there on the right to fight with Almiron for a starting spot and maybe two more.

“They will have another top season.”

Tonali will come good for Newcastle

There was a lot of talk around the Tonali capture and how he seemingly wasn’t so keen on moving away from AC Milan.

But once the Italy international gets settled, then he will cook in the middle of the park.

Not only that, his experience in the Champions League will also be crucial.
