Tottenham have announced yet another new contract as they confirmed on their official website that defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has penned a new deal with the club.
Spurs have been busy keeping hold of their key players of late, as Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Christian Eriksen have all signed new contracts to stay at White Hart Lane long-term.

On Thursday, Tottenham were at it again as they confirmed that centre back Carter-Vickers has extended his deal until the summer of 2019.
Carter-Vickers, 18, joined Tottenham at the age of just 11 back in 2009, and he’s now being brought in to Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team setup having been on the bench for a number of Premier League games this season.

At the moment, Carter-Vickers is the subject of a tug-of-war between England and the United States, as whilst he was born in Southend, his father Howard was an American NBA star, meaning he can play for both countries – however, his club future is now tied to Tottenham in a move that has pleased fans.
Supporters took to Twitter after the announcement, suggesting that they were delighted to see another top young talent commit his future to the club, and noted that the three-year deal isn’t long enough for Carter-Vickers to become complacent, but still keeps him at the club into his 20’s.

Others even joked that Carter-Vickers is already better than Spurs centre back Jan Vertonghen and could even be groomed as his replacement, despite the left-footed Kevin Wimmer seeming to be a better fit as Tottenham’s left-sided centre back.
