The Tottenham Hotspur defender has been talking up the Three Lions.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has been speaking to the club’s official Twitter account about England’s chances at Euro 2016.
The centre-back is currently representing Belgium at the tournament but he has singled out two sides as particular threats now the competition has reached the first knockout stage.
“I still see England as big favourites,” Vertonghen said. “I see them and France as the teams with the most complete qualities.
“They’ve got everything; obviously they have the Tottenham guys, they’ve got lots of energy, goals and power and I see England as real favourites for the tournament.”

The way the Three Lions struggled to break down a stubborn Slovakia side in their final group game means some fans will disagree; yet there is little doubt Roy Hodgson’s side showed enough in the first two matches to suggest they can be a match for anyone on their day.
England certainly have the strike-force to compete at this level, even if Tottenham’s Harry Kane looks tired after a long season for his club.
That said, Spurs teammate Kyle Walker has arguably been England’s best player to date and they will be quietly confident of defeating Iceland in the last 16 next week and progressing to the quarter-finals where anything can happen.
