According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Tottenham Hotspur are looking into a deal to bring Daniel Podence to north London.
The winger is clearly a talented player, having produced some magic moments during his time with Wolves, and one man who knows him quite well is Nuno Espirito Santo.
Of course, Nuno was his gaffer at Molineux for 18 months, and it’s no surprise to hear that he wants to sign him for Spurs, especially when you look back at some of the comments he’s made about the winger.
What does Nuno think?
Nuno has given Podence numerous rave reviews in the past, but his kindest words perhaps came after his debut for Wolves, claiming that he’s a versatile player who has talent.
“It’s good. He came in the transfer window, he’s adapting, he’s knowing his teammates better, he’s learning the shape, but he’s a versatile player – he can play wide, he can play inside; but he has talent and I think he did well, but he can improve,” Nuno told Wolves’ official website.

Great signing
It’s easy to forget just how good Podence was at the beginning of last season due to how injury-plagued his campaign was.
The Portuguese winger may be diminutive, but he’s certainly a live wire, with the dribbling skills and ability to turn any defence inside out.
He knows Nuno’s system and he’s absolutely rapid, what more could you want from a signing?
This would be an excellent addition to Spurs’ ranks.
