According to the Daily Express, Everton are lining up a deal for Leicester City topscorer Jamie Vardy as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a summer move, with either Chelsea or Manchester United seemingly the most likely destination.

Vardy turned down his own switch to Arsenal in 2016, but apparently the 30-year-old could be tempted with an exit from the King Power Stadium this time around; especially as former Leicester scout, Steve Walsh, is now the Toffees’ director of football.
However, replacing Lukaku with the England international would completely alter how Ronald Koeman’s team attacks due to their distinct variation in style.
The Belgian generally operates as a lone striker and to great success, scoring 25 Premier League goals in 2016/17, and despite his height and strength, actually likes to get the ball to feet and drop deep to become involved in the buildup play.

In contrast, Vardy plays on the shoulder of the last defender, using his pace to get goal side and has enjoyed his most prolific spells with the Foxes when the attack is more direct. The forward is also at his best alongside a strike partner, something Koeman has rarely done since arriving at Goodison Park.
What the Dutchman has done, though, is switch to a back three on occasions and with wing-backs there is more scope to go with two upfront. Perhaps if Vardy signs the face of Koeman’s formation will change to accommodate him.
