Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk has said on Premier League Productions that he enjoyed playing against Leeds United at Elland Road yesterday.
Van Dijk was in action for Liverpool in the Premier League game against Leeds.
It was the first time that the Netherlands international central defender had played at Elland Road.
The 30-year-old central defender has described the atmosphere at Elland Road yesterday evening as “fantastic”.
Liverpool won the match 3-0 against Leeds, who played most of the second half with 10 men.
Van Dijk said on Premier League Productions: “It was nice to be here today. For me, it was the first time to play here. Fantastic atmosphere that I embraced, we all embraced to be fair.”

Liverpool were the better team
Leeds did work hard and gave Liverpool a good game, but in the end, the difference in quality showed and the Reds deservedly won the Premier League match.
Liverpool were also helped by the dismissal of Pascal Struijk in the 60th minute for a challenge on Harvey Elliott.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had as many as 30 shots, but only nine of them were on target.

Sadio Mane himself took 10 shots and scored just once.
It would not have flattered the Reds if they had won by a bigger margin.
Liverpool’s strong start to the Premier League campaign continued, while Leeds will have to start winning matches and kickstart their season.
