Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Virgil van Dijk is fit to face Leeds United at Elland Road this weekend.
The Reds will lock horns with Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday.
Van Dijk suffered an injury while on international duty with the Netherlands this week.
However, the Dutchman is available for the match against Leeds, and Liverpool boss Klopp is over the moon.
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “With Virgil, that was obviously a scary moment, you can imagine.
“I sent him a message after the game, ‘Are you alright?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘100 per cent?’ ‘200 per cent.’ ‘Come on, send me a video of you without limping…’ ‘I’m only limping off.’
“So he called me from the bus and said, ‘Boss, I’m fine!’ I said, ‘Why are you limping then?’ He said, ‘My wife asked the same!’ So, yeah, that was a bit of a tricky moment but apart from that, no, all fine [for the other international players].”

Encouraging for Liverpool
Van Dijk missed most of last season with injury, and you can understand why Liverpool manager Klopp was worried this week.
However, it seems that everything is fine, and that is certainly good for Liverpool.
Winning against Leeds, especially at Elland Road, is never easy for any team.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are going to be at it right from the first minute and will test the Liverpool defence.
Van Dijk being fit and starting against Leeds will certainly enhance Liverpool’s chances of keeping a clean sheet.
Liverpool have made a strong start to the Premier League season, and manager Klopp will be determined to get his side pick up all three points against Leeds this weekend.
