Manchester United loanee, Donny van de Beek, has labelled Everton’s Goodison Park atmosphere as ‘fantastic’ after their 3-0 win against Leeds on Saturday, as he posted on Instagram.

It was a rare sight for Premier League fans because, after sitting on Manchester United’s bench for so long, the 24-year-old was finally handed a start in England’s top-flight.

And boy did he impress! Everton ran riot against Marcelo Bielsa’s men and this is what the Dutchman posted on his IG.

The mood inside Goodison is a far cry from what it was like a number of months ago.

That ill-fated spell of Rafa Benitez is something everyone associated with Everton will want to forget as soon as possible.

Lampard’s arrival, even before he could take a seat in the dugout, has lifted the fans.

Now it’s a case of using these positive vibes to drive forward and stay well away from the relegation dogfight.

That win against Leeds should be enough because the Toffees also have games in hand on those below them, so they shouldn’t be worried too much.

But, for once in a very long time, Everton fans can look forward rather than back and worry about where the club is heading.

And players like Van de Beek, who is clearly hungry to impress and showcase his worth, will only help Everton push towards the right end of the table.
