Wolverhampton Wanderers have been credited with an interest in Valencia’s 22-year-old central defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

The report says at least two Premier League are chasing the Frenchman’s signature, but it remains unclear as to which club has had the reported £36m bid rejected.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers are reported to be one of the clubs that have placed a bid for Diakhaby and he would be a brilliant addition to their squad this summer.
The 22-year-old only joined Valencia last season from French side Olympique Lyon. Diakhaby has had a hugely impressive debut season for Los Ches having played 38 games for them in all competitions. The youngster possesses all the traits to become a top centre-half in the coming years and he would be a very good addition to any side.
Wolves are in desperate need for numbers as they look to bolster their squad for a potentially long and daunting campaign in the Premier League as well as in the Europa League. Diakhaby, who has experience in both the Champions League as well as in the Europa League, could play a huge role for them next season as well as in the future.

Diakhaby, who is naturally a central defender, was given a rare start in the Europa League as a central defensive midfielder. The Frenchman was given the huge responsibility in the semi-finals against Arsenal, against whom he scored the opening goal early in the first half.
Diakhaby could settle in well in a number six role in the future but his qualities as a central defender is what makes him a valuable commodity for Valencia this summer. Wolves, who have been credited with an interest, have found a real gem in Diakhaby and they should go all out for him this summer.
